.Since Ed and Betty Masi started Seawood Builders in 1977, the company has raised and invested over five million dollars to improving the communities and lives in where they live and work.
As Seawood Builders grew, it was able to invest more and more into its communities. In 2019, Seawood Builders restructured its giving guidelines to have a greater impact in its areas of interest. Today, Seawood Builders invests a percentage of its annual budget back into its neighborhood.
Seawood Builders supports programs and services whose mission is to provide basic needs to the residents living and working in our neighborhoods. This includes food pantries, emergency shelters, emergency assistance, homeless shelters, veteran services, housing assistance programs, and access to health and mental health care. In addition, funding for efforts that are promoting access to fresh foods, nutrition and wellness initiatives in our neighborhoods are supported.
Seawood Builders supports programs and services whose mission is to promote the healthy development of children and youth. This includes programs that focus on the prevention of child abuse, violence and substance abuse, afterschool and summer programming enrichment activities, youth development, life skills, early childhood education and foster youth.
Seawood Builders supports programs and services that are focused on the care, protections or understanding of wildlife, pets, or specialty animals. In addition, funding for efforts that are focused on the preservation and protection of fisheries and wildlife habitats, humane societies, veterinary services, aquariums and zoos.
